Recipe of the Week | Beef Tartare


300g high-quality beef fillet, finely chopped

1 fresh egg yolk

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon capers, finely chopped

1 teaspoon pickled cucumber, finely chopped

1 shallot, finely chopped

Fresh parsley, finely chopped

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Drops of Tabasco, to taste

Extra virgin olive oil


Begin by finely chopping the beef fillet with a knife. You can also grind the meat if you prefer a different texture.

In a large bowl, add the egg yolk, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix these ingredients well.

Add the chopped beef fillet to the bowl with the egg and condiment mixture.

Add the capers, pickled cucumber, finely chopped shallot to the meat. Mix well to evenly distribute the seasonings. Add finely chopped fresh parsley, salt, black pepper to taste. Add drops of Tabasco according to your desired level of spiciness. Continue to gently mix until all ingredients are well combined.

Enjoy the beef tartare on a plate, shaping it with the help of a pastry ring for a regular form.

Finish with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil on the surface of the tartare.

Serve the tartare with toast or crispy bread.
